01 Should my dispute go to court or arbitration?
It depends on what your contract says and what you're trying to achieve. Arbitration is usually faster, private, and easier to enforce internationally, but it can cost more upfront; onshore litigation is often quicker for straightforward debt or contract claims. We review your contract's dispute clause and objectives before advising.
02 Can a foreign judgment be enforced in the UAE?
It depends on whether a reciprocal enforcement treaty exists between the UAE and the judgment's country of origin, and whether the foreign proceedings met UAE due-process requirements. DIFC and ADGM judgments generally enforce more predictably onshore than most foreign court judgments.
03 How quickly can I freeze a defendant's assets in the UAE?
Precautionary attachment orders can often be obtained within days on an ex-parte basis where there's a real risk assets will be moved or dissipated. Speed matters — we prepare the application as soon as we see that risk, before formally notifying the other side.
